Shanghai Jindun has introduced a new generation of compact fire trucks built on the Iveco chassis, specifically engineered for the narrow streets and older residential districts where standard fire engines simply cannot reach. This series represents a strategic response to the “last mile” challenge in urban emergency response.
The vehicles measure just 5,995mm in length with a 3,300mm wheelbase, allowing them to navigate tight alleyways, crowded market streets, and heritage neighborhoods with ease. Despite their compact footprint, these trucks carry meaningful firefighting capability. The PM15ER6 model offers a 1,000L water tank and 500L foam capacity with a CB10/30 pump, while the PM10ER6 variant features an 80L/s high-flow pump and automatic transmission for rapid response. The AP10ER6 CAFS model integrates a CAFS4000-Z compressed air foam system, delivering superior extinguishing efficiency with minimal water usage.
The cab design reflects German engineering influence, featuring a fully integrated crew compartment without welding modifications, Ziegler-style seating, and the Z-Vision lighting system with synchronized warning lights. The company has plans to expand this platform into small drainage trucks, smoke exhaust vehicles, aerial work platforms, and new energy fire response units.
For municipalities seeking to strengthen community-level fire protection, these Iveco-based trucks offer a practical balance of maneuverability, firepower, and cost-effectiveness.
